My 5 years old was just picked to go to ipop 2009 LA. I recieved the packet and the cost is $6,200 for her and $3,100 for the parent. Curious if anyone has taken a 5 year old and if they acheived anything from it? This is alot of money and I'm not sure this is going to be worth it or not. Hopefully someone out there can give me a little feed back if they had a child go to ipop and if they think it is worth it.
Thank you so much for any comments.

1st OFF iPOP is a great venue for kids to get exposure.
We ave had several kids sign with agents and managers form attending iPOP.
Yes you do compete and can win awards but you also see agents in the networking session. You also can receive callbacks when you compete. The agents are the ones that jusdge the competition.
OF COURSE THEY ARE PAID

DO YOU WORK FOR FREE???? I BET NOT> Being an agent and manager is a JOB!!!!!!!!!!
THe networking: It is quick but if handled correct by your director it can be very successful.
We took a 4 year old to iPOP LA and She did well. She won 1st Place best commercial and had 10 callbacks. She had the opportunity to sign with a manager and an agent in LA. But here parents declined because she was working so much in the MPLS market .
We also took a 6 year old to iPOP LV 2008 and she won 2nd Place Model of the Year and received a ton of callbacks. We are in the middle of weeding through all the callbacks and going with the Agent and Manager that is best for her in LA
It really depends on YOU and your child:
Will you follow up on Callbacks
Are you willing to take your child out to LA
Is this your Childs Passion and dream
If not then this is a very expensive vacation.
Find out the success from your JRP from iPOP
Talk with parents that attended iPOP
We have a Dad that took his 7 year old daughter to iPOP LV 2008 and is now taking is 16 year old son to iPOP LA 2009
That should tell you something
GOOD LUCK
