Page 1 of 2 I registered in JRP in August of Santa Clara. My mom has been trying to dispute the money, but they wont give it. i think the media should get attention with JRP. Please reply and ill give u my email. It has been a waste of time. I got nothing back. We've been trying to get our money back, but their being very... The new owner has done nothing and also the old owner. The new owner hung up on the phone with me. They are a big scam and don't need anything except money. I got no services.

 jrp of bakersfield is a good school..you people are mad because your child has no talent and didnt get an agent. i have been at jrp for two months and i have to say im very happy..our teacher is a professional actress who has been on t.v and in commercials..dont say no one gets famouse because most of the kids in my class have agents now..in the cotract that u were supposed to read.if u can. says that they do not gurantee work. right there in the contract. jrp is a school that teaches us how to be a model and act..i have learned alot there and i say you peolpe just need to shut up because it is a great school.

THESE CHILDREN ARE LITTLE!!!!!!! 5 and 7 year olds shouldnt have to TRY!!!! they are babies!!! how dare you say they fail... they dont "fail" they are just at the wrong place and are persuaded into an inaccurate position!
they do not tell parents the correct information at this god for sakin school!!!!
why should you have to try so hard anyways if you supposedly have so much talent eh????

Lets get down to the facts "Kaylah"
JRP wants your money... and they are using high pressure sales tactics on young actors and models.... that is completely unfair to the parents and children who are sucked into this school from false advertisments... dont pay attention to the flase advertisments on the radio saying they have agencies from Disney.... Miley Cyrus got her fame from her father!!!
if you are so incredibly talented, an agent wouldve personally approched you and given YOU the money to model, act, or sing for them....

thats a horrible thing for you to say... my boyfriend has so much talent, he can sing and act in school plays.... but he doesnt have enough money to pay off for this stupid school... and now he has to pay for those stupid auditions when they promised he would get his money back from doing comercials nation wide... he has been accepted for ONE audition and once he got there they told him he needed a monolougue.. he totally wasted his money when he couldve gotten into a good college,plus his hopes and dreams are basically shattered because he thinks he didnt try hard enough... JRP IS A SCAM EVEN IF YOU DO GAIN SUCCESS BECAUSE ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND YOURE JUST LUCKY!!!! why would they accept "untallented" children anyway... they are greedy, merciless and ruthless....

Hello i am one of the students at JRP.
i am also a human just like you.
i dont enjoy being scammed
but...
now listen ppl you all say we scam and cheat you but everything is clearly difined in the contract you just have to read it. also you all say that im a bad person and i just want money... your wrong. i care for everychild in my care and i would appreciate it if you all stop acting like twits and get to undertand how the entertainment business work. in my experience i have also seen that the children who suceed and feel they got their moneys worth are the children who work and push and keep trying no matter what. where as the children who fail and dont feel they got their moneys worth are the ones who just show up and look around waiting for mommy and daddy to pay her/his way into everything. sorry ppl but wake up and look at the facts. JRP is not at fault, the ppl who dont work to win are the ones who lose. congatulations to the ppl who suceed you worked for it. suck it to the ppl who just expect it, you really are stupid

I have just spent the last hour going on comsumer report websites and reading what the rest of the US has to say about John Robert Powers. So far, I have heard nothing but horrible things. Most of the time, these horrible things have been written by PARENTS of children that are or have attended JRP. I am fifteen years old and I am currently attending JRP. This is my opinion about John Robert Powers, Santa Clara:
I have definitely experienced a lot of bad things while with JRP. I find it extremely difficult to get ahold of the manager when I need to talk to her and I find it extremely frustrating that since I signed the contract, there have been 5-6 different managers. Just recently, they have undergone a change in ownership because the head of JRP is sick of hearing complaints about this particular JRP. Even though I have been unhappy with the manager, I can honestly say that I have learned a great amount at JRP. I am an aspiring actress and without JRP, I would be getting nowhere. I have an agency located in NYC and I have appeared in a commercial on VH1, all thanks to JRP. All of the teachers that I have been educated by are very experienced and know a great deal of information.
Even though it is unorganized, I feel like I owe John Robert Powers a HUGE thank you.

WELL I TAKE MY DOUGHTER TO JRP IN BAKERSFIELD.AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH IM VERY DISAPIONTED IN WHAT THEY SAY IN THE RULES THAT WE NEED TO DROP OFF THE KIDS AND NOT STAT IN THE CLASS ROOM OR HALL WAYS BECAUSE THEY WORK BETER WITH THE KIDS .WELL I KNOW WHY THEY WANT US TO DO SO .I HAVE BEEN STAYING IN THE CLASS FOR THE 4 HOURES THAT MY DOUGHTER IS INTHER AND IN THE FIRST 2 HOURS OF MODELING THE TEACHER IS SOPOSABLY AN I POP CHAMPION THATS 17 YEARS OLD
AND THEY SAY SHES A PROFECIONAL MODEL .SO HOW OLD WAS SHE WHEN SHE STARTED GIVING CLASSES AND ONLY SHOWS THE BOYS AND GIRLS 5 MINUTS OF MODELING AND THE REST OF THE TIME THEY ARE JUST SITTING AROUND .MAN ANY MOM
CAN KEEP THEIR CHILD HOME AND HAVE THEM SIT ALL DAY AND WATCH TV.ANY WAYS IN THE NEXT 2 HOURES THAT SHE IS THERE SHE HAS ACTING .THEY SAY THAT THE TEACHER HAS ABOUT 10 YEARS EXPIRIENCE IN GIVING ACTING CLASSES.WELL IT TURNS OUT THAT SHE HAS NO PATINCE WITH THE CHILDREN YELLS AT THEM AND I REALLY HAVE NOT SEEN ANY KIND OF ACTING GOING ON THIS REALLY MAKES ME MAD BECAUSE ALL THESE OTHER PARENTS DROP THEIR KIDS OFF THINKING THAT THEY ARE DOING WHAT THEY PAYED FOR AND REALLY .THE TEACHERS ARE A WASTE OF TIME THEY DONT TEACH ANY THING AND KNOW I HAVE TO PAY $1900 .FOR SOMETHING THATS A BUNCH OF BULL. I THINK THAT THEY ARE A BUNCH OF GOLD DIGGERS LIVING OF OF PEOPLES MONEY OFFERING THEM THE OPERTUNITY FOR THIRE CHILD TO BE SOMETHING THEY MIGHT NOT EVER BE

JRP Santa Clara is a waste of time and a waste of money. The programs are the cheapest ever and they dont even teach any good things. Any one who would like to join me to sue them for our money back please send me your e-mail so I can contact you and start the legal work

Stanley Robinson, owner of JRP in Santa Clara is a total scam! You should be ashamed of yourself ripping people off! I'm going to rile up a bunch of people you scammed and sue the *** out of you..not only to get our money back, but to put you in jail for your scam!

ZarZar,
not everyone in this world is honest (surprise) You are going to need to look out for the fakes and frauds.
sounds like you may just have to chualk this one up to... live and learn and dont get sucked in again.
All i can say is that there might very well be a few people who are mad at JRP for personal reasons that have nothing to do with their business practices. However, I find it hard to believe that this sheer number of complaints here are not indicative of false and unethical business practices.
Buyer beware.
